The Administrative Oversight Section (AOS) provides administrative and clerical support to Industrial Strategies Division (ISD) and its six branches.
Pursuant to Assembly Bill 32, the California Global Warming Solutions Act of 2006 (Statutes of 2006, Chapter 488) and other authorities, ISD is responsible for regulatory and non-regulatory activities to reduce air toxics, criteria air pollution, and greenhouse gases from stationary and non-stationary sources under the Cap-and-Trade program, Low Carbon Fuels Standard, conventional fuels programs, and waste, energy, and oil and gas programs.
ISD also implements the AB 32 Cost of Implementation fee program and has oversight responsibility over air district permitting programs.
Under the general direction of the Staff Services Manager I in the Administrative Oversight Section, Associate Governmental Program Analyst (AGPA) performs complex analytical activities to support the Division.
The AGPA will monitor and track all aspects of ISD’s executed contracts.
In conjunction with AOS management and program staff, create accounting spreadsheet to monitor deliverables, invoices, and reversion due dates for contract timelines documentation within the Division.
As a full journey-level analyst, the AGPA performs other AOS job-related duties as necessary for operational continuity and applies skills and expertise to process development, research on best practices, and works closely and cooperatively with others and in teams.

Working Conditions
This position may be eligible for hybrid in-office work and in-state telework.
The amount of telework is at the agency's discretion and is based on the California Air Resource Boards' (CARB) current telework policy.
While the CARB may support telework, some in-person attendance is also required.
The positions at the CARB may be eligible for telework with in-person attendance based on the operational needs of the position under Government Code 14200 for eligible applicants residing in California, subject to the candidate meeting telework eligibility criteria outlined in the CalEPA telework policy and/or future program need.
Employees not residing in California are not eligible for telework.
Regardless of hybrid telework eligibility, all employees may be required to report to the position’s designated headquarters location at their own expense, as indicated on their duty statement.
