Controller/Senior Accountant

The Controller/Senior Accountant Reports to the CEO and is responsible for the finance and accounting functions of the winery and two vineyard businesses.
This position works with accounting/administration staff to ensure accurate and timely bookkeeping and reporting.

develops agenda and reviews for board meetings and is the primary interface with banking institutions.
Job duties include, but are not limited to: · Primary driver of annual budgets process.
· Oversee and assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements by gathering and analyzing information from the general ledger system.
· Manage the month-end closing process.
· Assist in preparing year-end review.
· Manage cash flow for winery and two vineyard companies.
· Oversee product costing and inventory valuations.
· Oversee inventory and internal (external) audits.
· Oversee and support Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions.
· Monitor and review work by staff for accuracy and appropriate handling.
· Maintain strong internal system controls.
· Participate in special projects as assigned.
Qualifications: · A Bachelor’s degree in Business with an emphasis in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred) · Must have at least five years experience in accounting, preferably in the wine industry or in manufacturing.
Farm accounting also helpful.
· HR and IT knowledge is a plus.
· Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· A strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
· Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks with changing priorities.
· Proficiency in MS Office including expert Excel skills.
· Knowledge of Advanced Management Systems (AMS) Software a plus.
Job Type: Full-time Pay: $80,000.
00 - $100,000.
