A reasonable estimate of the current range is $77,556-$104,929.
Position Summary:
The Senior Accountant performs accounting duties involving reconciliations, analysis, financial reporting and forecasting to effectively and efficiently contribute to the overall compliant operation of the Sacramento Native American Health Center, Inc.
Essential Functions:
Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities
Assist with review/oversight activities relating to the general ledger and accounting records
Assist with running ad-hoc reports, create new accounting templates
Reconcile balance sheet accounts, bank statement, credit cards monthly
Analyze income statements accounts
Perform weekly and monthly cash forecasts, assist with budget preparation and explain/resolve variances
Research technical accounting standards to ensure continued compliance with GAAP
Identify opportunities to streamline processes to increase timeliness, efficiency and improve the accuracy of financial reporting.
Manage the accounting of fixed assets
Manages accounting for grants, including salary allocations, generating invoices on a timely basis as required, generating monthly grant financial reports, working with grant program managers on Abides by industry best practices (e.
g.
proper PPE, ergonomic posture, etc.
) to maintain a safe working environment; report safety issues or concerns to your supervisor or the Safety Officer immediately; review Safety and Health plans, understand, and ask questions regarding safe practices in your work area.
Comply with all state and federal laws and regulations, as they pertain to the position including HIPAA, sexual harassment, Scope of Practice, OSHA, SCAR reporting, etc.

Minimum Qualifications:
Three (3) years of progressive experience in the management of financial systems and budgets, financial reporting, data analysis, auditing, taxation and providing financial advice, preferably with a non-profit organization.
Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience, in accounting or related
Intermediate MS Excel experience is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in accounting for a non-profit organization.
Knowledge of accounting principles, theories, methods, concepts and techniques to independently plan and conduct a variety of assignments or
Knowledge of grant management, including budgets, salary allocations, modifications and monthly financial reporting preferred.
Knowledge of computer concepts and accounting systems, procedures and controls related to automated financial
Experience with Abila MIP preferred.
Experience in an FQHC setting
Knowledge of traditional, cultural and spiritual practices of the diverse AI/AN community, as well as ability to work with other racially, culturally, ethnically, and financially diverse populations.
