Construction Accountant

*Construction Accountant* Pro Superior Construction Inc.
, a James Hardie and Midgard Certified leader specializing in Siding and window installation is on the lookout for a proficient Construction Accountant.
This critical position is essential for maintaining our financial integrity, enabling precise financial reporting, and managing control over all construction projects.
*Key Responsibilities:* · *Financial Management:* Oversee all accounting operations, including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, Revenue Recognition, and specifically Job Costs for construction projects.
Implement processes for accurately capturing project costs and revenue in line with construction industry standards.
· *Budgeting and Forecasting:* Work closely with project managers to set project budgets, monitor financial progress against budgets, and forecast future financial performance, ensuring alignment with project goals.
· *Cost Control:* Enforce cost control measures, scrutinize variances, and ensure all project expenses are recorded accurately and reported.
Regularly review job costs and report discrepancies and areas for improvement.
· *Financial Reporting:* Generate timely monthly financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and detailed job cost reports.
· *Compliance and Auditing:* Guarantee compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, keeping abreast of new legislation and ensuring adherence to financial laws and guidelines.
· *Payroll Management:* Manage payroll operations for construction staff, ensuring accurate and compliant processing.
· *Tax Preparation:* Assist with tax return preparation and manage corporate reporting requirements.
· *Cash Flow Management:* Oversee project cash flows, optimizing liquidity for operations and ensuring the prompt collection of receivables.
· *QuickBooks Expertise*: Utilize QuickBooks for financial management and reporting.
Maintain impeccable financial records and utilize QuickBooks' job costing features to track project expenses accurately.
*Qualifications:* - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
CPA or CMA preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years' accounting experience, preferably within the construction industry.
- Proficient in construction accounting software, with a strong emphasis on QuickBooks.
- Deep understanding of construction accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong multitasking abilities with the capacity to meet deadlines.
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
