CalPERS seeks an Associate Accounting Analyst in the Financial Reporting and Accounting Services Division, Accounts Payable Unit.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Process and/or approve administrative expenses using PeopleSoft Financial System.
Research, analyze, and respond to the more complex inquiries, issues, and problems regarding vendor payments and invoice processing.
Reconcile expenditure subsidiary ledgers to the trial balance, and general ledger accounts, such as Claims Filed and Cash, to State Controller’s CD-102 Notice of Claim Paid Form.
Identify, research, analyze, and take appropriate action to rectify reconciling items in a timely and accurate manner.
Analyze the Administrative Expense Budget contracts and purchase orders for funding availability and completeness.
Develop, write, recommend, formulate, implement, and update policies, procedures, and controls associated with all unit accounts payables processes.
Review and approve claim schedules prior to submission to State Controller’s Office for warrant issuance to ensure information is accurate and complete.
