*Job Title: * *Inventory /Accounts Payable Specialist*
*General Job Summary: *The Inventory / Accounts Payable Specialist position requires basic understanding of accounting principles.
Data entry skills along with 10-key skills, and an aptitude for numbers.
Experience in operating spreadsheets, and accounting software, with proficiency in MS Office.
Customer service orientation and negotiation skills and a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
*Job Functions: *
- Perform periodic inventory audits and quarterly inventory counts reporting discrepancies between physical counts and inventory records.
- Maintain control and creation of new raw material items and material issuance to projects as necessary.
- Set up new project information, including budget and expense codes.
- Communicate with vendors, Purchasing, Project Managers, and warehouse personnel to ensure materials are routed properly.
- Ensure that goods received by warehouse matched with the actual invoices from the supplier in accounting system.
- Work closely with Project Managers to get accurate project costs and production schedule updates.
- Track parts conversion process ensure appropriate cost are added to assembled parts numbers.
- Account for fixed assets including capital asset additions and disposables, and construction in progress.
- Process, submit and track any commission payments due to outside sales representatives in accordance with contract or project requirements.
- Full cycle accounts payable; including W-9s and new vendor setup, entering invoices, check processing, posting and review of accounts.
- Verify with invoice quantities and prices of material received against purchase orders and match invoices to purchase orders.
- Handle incoming calls and other related jobs as necessary.
*Job Qualifications*
*Education:* No level of formal education is required.
*Experience: *Requires minimum of 2 years of inventory control or accounts payable experience, preferably in construction, contracting, or building materials environment.
- Near Vision – the ability to see details at close range (within a few feet)
- Occasionally required to bend at the waist; Lift and/or move up-to 40 pounds
