Koinonia Family Services is seeking a part-time Accounting Clerk to join our accounting team in our corporate office in Loomis.
Under the direction of the Accounting Director, the Accounting Clerk assists the Accounts Payables staff by creating invoices, data entry, coding, running checks, reconciling accounts, billing, copying/filing, etc.
Performs various miscellaneous duties as requested by the Accounting Director.
Opportunity Highlights:
Hourly pay rate: $18.
00 to $20.
00 per hour, depending upon overall qualifications

20-25 hours per week, Monday through Friday

Key Responsibilities:
Creates A/P vendor invoices/data entry/coding and check runs
Reconciles credit card accounts
Responsible for timely and accurate coding and entry of invoices (with proper approvals) into the accounting system
Assists in monthly closings
Prepares analysis of accounts, as required
Determines if all expected invoices have been received and contacts vendors about missing invoices
Performs filing and copying
Other duties as required to meet business needs
Qualifications:
A minimum of an Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Alternatively, a high school diploma with significant coursework in accounting or bookkeeping may be acceptable
At least two (2) years of prior high-volume accounts payable experience preferred.
Experience in a nonprofit setting is a plus
Proficiency in accounting software (AccuFund), excellent computer skills with the ability to effectively utilize Microsoft Office suite and electronic filing systems
A solid understanding of basic accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations
Ability to perform basic data entry, including operating a 10-key calculator by touch
Exceptional attention to detail with a high level of accuracy and efficiency in handling financial data, invoices, and payment transactions
Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a part-time schedule
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for coordinating with vendors, staff, and management regarding financial transactions and inquiries
A strong ethical stance regarding confidentiality, integrity, and professional conduct
