WORKFORCE PLANNING SENIOR ANALYST
WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?
This position is pivotal part of the talent management team with the Human Resources Division, whose goal is to ensure that the bank has the right people, with the right skills, in the right roles, at the right time to drive sustainable growth and maintain a competitive edge, and can develop strategies to leverage talent as a way to build business capabilities and the desired culture.
The contribution of the Workforce Planning Senior Analyst goes beyond HR and analytics to help orchestrate the dynamic interplay between strategy and talent, transforming data into actionable insights, and driving the bank's success through informed, strategic talent management.
As the Workforce Planning Senior Analyst at City National Bank, this role's primary function is the development and implementation of methods and processes that enhance data access, quality, and analyses, and provide insights that inform workforce decisions in alignment with the bank's business strategies with workforce objectives.
The Workforce Planning Senior Analyst crafts and conducts demand and supply analyses, develops relevant metrics, and provides data-driven reports and insights.

The senior analyst performs the job functions in close collaboration with key stakeholders, including business leaders, HR professionals, Finance Business Partners, Talent Management, Talent Acquisition, and other relevant teams.

What you will do Strategic Workforce Planning: Engage with business leaders and cross-functional teams to translate business strategies and goals, including regulatory and non-regulatory challenges and opportunities into workforce analyses plans and deliverables that help drive strategic workforce planning initiatives.
Actionable Staffing Plans: Support and guide the development of staffing plans that are actionable and in harmony with the bank's strategic direction by providing analysis and insights Labor Demand and Labor Supply Analysis: Gather or organize data to support analyses.
Analyze labor demand based on business needs and growth projections.
Evaluate the current workforce supply and identify gaps to meet future demands.
Performs analysis of large data sets to better understand trends, relationships between variables, and to formulate predictive insights.
Identify data quality issues and concerns and recommend solutions.
Staffing Adequacy and Skills Assessment Analyses: Provide analytical direction and execution as needed related to ongoing operational processes to assess staffing levels and skills related to regulatory requirements and as input to workforce planning.
Metrics Development: Create, maintain, and analyze relevant metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to optimize the workforce.
Scenario Planning: Develop, test and propose workforce scenarios that challenge and pressure test the workforce to mitigate risk to the bank and ensure marketplace parity at a minimum.
Decision Support: Provide data-driven insights and support to enable informed decision-making by people leaders, including data visualization, data storytelling, and user-centric dashboard design.
Develop compelling, well designed, and automated dashboards that support workforce planning capability using diverse sets of structured and unstructured data.
Process Enhancement: Continuously improve workforce planning processes and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness, scalability, and develop internal capability beyond the talent management department and Human Resources Division Reporting and Presentations: Develops report and presentations for internal and external stakeholders that are compelling, concise, and convey the Bank’s workforce current state and plans.
Compliance: Ensure that workforce planning processes adhere to relevant labor laws and regulations.
Talent Insights Analysis: Perform recurring and ad-hoc talent insights analysis, reporting, and presentations using advanced talent insights tools.
Must-Have* Bachelor's Degree or equivalent 6 years of experience in Workforce Planning, Talent Strategy, HR analytics, Data Analytics, or a related role.
Skills and Knowledge Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Statistics, HR Analytics or a related field preferred Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
Proficiency in HR and workforce planning, technology systems and tools.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Experience in banking and/or financial services preferred Advanced experience in developing and presenting workforce information to senior leaders.
Advanced experience with Workforce Planning technology, ie, Visier, Orgvue, etc.
Advanced experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint Experience and understanding of Teams, WebEx, etc.
Certification in Strategic Workforce Planning, Data Analytics, HR Analytics preferred Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM) certification.
Change Management experience, Prosci or other change management certification Certification in Human Resource and/or Workforce Planning tools, i.
e.
, Workday, Visier, Orgvue, etc.
Knowledge of relevant labor laws and regulations.
Compensation Starting base salary: $92,114 - $156,880 per year.
Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
