00 Salary ESA is looking for a Senior Accountant with 5 or more years of relevant experience to join one of our West Coast offices on a hybrid schedule.

Who You Are You are an effective team member with strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
You have the ability to communicate and collaborate with all staff levels and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
You hold a bachelor’s degree in accounting or a combination of equivalent education and experience.
Strong knowledge of Excel, accounting policies, procedures, and accounting software systems.
You have at least 5 years of professional experience in accounting function.
Knowledge of accounting and tax in the areas of GAAP, federal, state, and local codes and regulations.
Experience in local/state/federal agency filing.
Statistical reporting, as well as processing financial transactions.
High attention to detail.
Preferably your experience is with an A/E/C firm using Deltek Vision.
You are interested in expanding your knowledge and experience in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.
You are able to work in a hybrid fashion from any of our West Coast offices, but ideally you are located in Northern California.
What You Will Do for ESA You will prepare local, state, and federal agency filings as required.
You will assist with tax audits and returns.
Assist with annual financial audits by providing required schedules and documentation.
You will prepare, review and post journal entries.
Perform detailed, monthly review and reconciliation of the general ledger and sub-ledger accounts.
Maintain and reconcile fixed assets schedules.
You will provide back-up support for both A/R and A/P functions when needed.
Lead A/P year-end close process such as 1099 preparation.
Manage cash flows and perform bank reconciliation of all company bank accounts including joint ventures.
You will ensure compliance with GAAP principles and ASC 842 lease accounting requirements.
Lead, coordinate, and complete complex financial surveys for EFCG CEO, EFCG CFO, AEC Advisors as well as additional ad-hoc surveys.
Lead and/or assist with performing ad-hoc projects as needed.
You will assist the accounting manager with monthly variance analysis reports, monitoring and analyzing department work to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources.
You will provide mentorship and support for junior staff, including reviewing their work for accuracy and clarity and providing constructive feedback and career development guidance while working on tasks and projects together.
You will thrive in a fast-paced, challenging environment and be able to manage multiple responsibilities and deadlines while working on a team or independently.
ESA has established multiple pay ranges tailored to the economic factors in the geographies in which ESA staff reside.
For this position the range is $75,694 – $109,756 annually based on our anticipated hiring locations as noted in the above job details.
Actual compensation is determined by a number of factors including but not limited to an individual’s related experience, education, skills, and the city in which the applicant lives.
