State Fund is looking for an additional member to join our Teleworking Financial Planning & Analysis Team.
This position will work under the general direction of the Finance Business Partner in a large enterprise specialized in the field of Workers’ Compensation Insurance.
Seeking a skilled Financial Analyst IV to:
* Execute advanced data analysis independently in response to ad-hoc research and reporting requests
* Construct models for reporting data, forecasting results, and conducting intricate analyses
* Generate, refine, and update financial projections
* Evaluate and analyze various types of data, design dashboards using business intelligence tools, and produce reports and presentations with compelling visualizations
* Lead efforts to improve effectiveness and efficiency of management reporting by designing and building sustainable financial tools
* Improve the usability of templates, explore opportunities for automated reporting, and provide recommendations for creating value-added reports
The ideal candidate will have a clear understanding/knowledge of Statement Statutory Accounting Principles (SSAP) and/or Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), be experienced in Project Management, financial modeling, and have advanced research and data gathering skills.
*This position may have an option to telework and is subject to change based on State Fund guidelines and business needs.

Incumbents *must *possess 12 semester or 18 quarter units course work in any combination of a data driven research-related field, such as economics, mathematics, psychology, sociology, demography, geography, anthropology, statistics, data science or a research-related field.
This must include at least one course in statistical methods; *and*
Equivalent to graduation from an accredited college with a bachelor's degree.
Work experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis by applicants who have the required units mentioned above.
A Master's Degree in economics, mathematics, psychology, sociology, demography, geography, anthropology, statistics, data science or a related research-oriented field may be substituted for two years of the required experience.
A doctoral degree in the same areas may be substituted for three years of the required experience.
