We run a 4 - 2 rotating schedule Due to new state licensing requirements, proof of the Covid vaccine is required before starting work at Gloria’s Country Care (GCC).

 PM/NOC  Range We run a four-two rotating schedule (four days on and two days off), (two days off will rotate by one day each week i.
e.
week one Sun-Mon off, week two Sat-Sun off, week three Fri-Sat off).
 We are looking for people who want to join our GCC team and help enrich the lives of our seniors.
Our caregivers build meaningful relationships with the seniors and their families, and will be part of a team that strives to care and support our residents, the same way the same way that one would want the same care and support for their own love- ones.
JOB SUMMARY & RESPONSIBILITIES: Under the supervision of the Manager and Supervisor, Caregiver will be required to assist residents with activities of daily living (ADL) needs, which include but are not limited to the following: o Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADL) such as daily grooming, hygiene, bathing, transfer in—andout of bed.
o Assist residents who are bowel and bladder incontinent, and ensuring they are provided with the highest level of care, placing clean them in fresh clothing, as well as washing the soiled garments immediately, & cleaning the surrounding area(s).
o Assist with housekeeping in the Resident’s rooms, bathrooms, as well as community common areas.
o Assist with preparation of meals and set-up table if needed, o Participate in activities to enrich our Resident’s physical and cognitive activities for example: singing, dancing, arts and crafts, games, etc.
o Ability to assist in lifting or transferring at least 50-pounds of weight, with the assistance of another Caregiver if needed.
o Answer community business phones.
o Intervening in unsafe or inadequate care and reporting same to Care Coordinator or Supervisor on-duty.
As well as watching and reporting evidence of elder abuse, mistreatment, or neglect as outlined in Personnel Policies.
o You will be required to keep records and chart on all residents who have been provided care.
o Provide safe transfers, positioning and turning of Residents using effective body mechanics.
o Observes and reports resident physical, phycological, emotional, and social condition changes to the Manager and Supervisor.
o Demonstrate good practice of infectious control.
o Support the Facility Theft and Loss Policy, Resident’s Personal Rights by maintaining the privacy and confidentiality of Residents.
o Be available to answer questions by family members.
o Assist Residents with the self-administration of medications under the Care Coordinator’s supervision.
o Ensure adequate supply of Residents medications is maintained, as well as their proper storage, and disposal.
o Observe and monitor each Resident for potential adverse reactions to medications and/or signs/symptoms which may indicate time for a change in medication regimen.
o Acting as shift Lead on weekends and after hours.
OUR REQUIREMENTS: o Per California state Licensing we are required to have a LiveScan clear of convictions or active arrests for all of our employees in order to be hired.
The LiveScan is required when applicants are candidates for positions that place them in a position of trust for some of California’s most vulnerable citizens, including elderly and dependent adults and children, it is vital for the licensing authority to be aware of convictions or active arrests to avoid exposing clients in care to unnecessary harm.

Good physical health shall be verified by a health screening performed by a physician not more than (6) months prior to or (7) days after employment.
This certification must verify that the Caregiver has no communicable diseases, open lesions, or any other health problem, which could interfere with the individual’s job performance.
o Candidate must be at least 18 years of age.
Shall have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Able to read, write, understand and communicate in English o Possesses clear verbal and written communication skills.
o Positive and energetic attitude.
o Professional in appearance and conduct.
o Must have dependable transportation and be able to work varying hours as needed, nights, holidays, and weekends.
o This job may require the employee to lift in excess of 25 pounds on occasion, which is a qualification for this position.
It may also require the mandatory use of a gait belt and the wearing of a back brace for more difficult residents.
o You will be expected to report to work on time or give the Care Coordinator or Administrator adequate notice if you are unable to show for work: at least four (4) hours’ notice.
o Participate in mandatory on-going education and in-service training.
Job Type: Full-time Pay: $15.
