Online and In-Person Recording Courses return to Sacramento City College for Spring 2024 Come to the campus, learn audio recording, and get connected with the local music community! Most instruction will happen in our largest recording studio (Studio A).

Online students will still have the options to visit the campus for special Audio Recording events.
Note: COVID vaccinations are no longer required for in-person classes! Complete the 1st semester course AND get qualified to take advanced courses in the Sacramento City College recording studios.
Audio Recording at Sacramento City College Classes Begin January 16, 2023 Start with MUSM 342 - Recording Arts I In-person Tuesday 6:00 pm to 9:05 pm - LEC 16532 OR Online Asynchronous - LEC 17424 MUSM 342: Recording Studio Techniques I is the first course in a 2-year program.
SCC offers a Commercial Music certificate in Recording Arts and Pro Tools certification.
Students who pass MUSM 342 will have the opportunity use our new facilities (including an Audient Heritage Edition Console, Mara Machines MCI 24-track analog tape deck, Pro Tools, and a mountain of analog outboard processing!).
