Pay Rate: $20 to $25 per hour
General Position Summary:
This Cook is a skilled operator for food processing.
It is responsible for running equipment at high efficiency and requires prompt action for adjustment and troubleshooting in the processing area.
Essential Job Functions:
Responsible for cleaning their workspace throughout the day to follow health and safety guidelines.
Follows recipe for making Fried Rice.
Ability to effectively communicate with packers, operators, managers, and maintenance.
Ability to communicate with Processing lead, Warehouse, Freezer op when an issue arises.
Be able to communicate with coworkers in a calm professional manner and be approachable.
Demonstrate proper lifting techniques, be able to lift repetitive 40 lbs.

Stand for long periods of time.
Work in an environment that can be hot and up to 80 degrees.
Ability to multi-task in an organized manner.
Ability to perform under pressure and in high stress situations.
Be able to make decisions quickly and effectively.
Ability to see cause and effects in production process.
Pre-inspection of machines:
Must be clean and clear of debris that could possibly contaminate product.
Inspect machines making sure they are assembled correctly after sanitation.
Properly train packers for reassembly after sanitation,
Check for worn parts.
Ensure the proper material is loaded and correctly fitted.
Move all unused items/partials to the back dock.
Where appropriate PPE
Ability to know what equipment, conveyors, floors to be cleaned.
Knowledge of chemicals used in area.
Knowledge of what safety equipment and procedures to be used in area.
Must monitor and communicate sanitation levels to Lead and Supervisor with Sanitation department.
Ability to assemble all machines.
Ability to locate all emergency stop buttons, fire extinguishers, first aid kits, eye wash and shower stations, and emergency exits.
