*My Sister’s House is a non-profit agency that provides shelter and supportive services for Asian Pacific Islander and other underserved women and children.
The Helpline Coordinator is directly accountable to the Executive Director and Shelter Manager.
The Helpline Coordinator is responsible for:*
* Scheduling and supervising all Helpline activities.
* Supporting volunteers and staff members who answer the 24-hour Helpline.
* Providing back-up coverage for Helpline when necessary.
* Tracking Helpline data and trends.
* Responding and following up on client and info emails.
* Scheduling, organizing, leading and monitoring My Sister’s House 40-hour domestic violence training twice a year.
* Coordinating master schedule for client facing volunteers/interns.
* Coordinating and preparing Helpline/Agency presentations.
* Assisting in staffing Outreach tables, recruiting and training new Helpline volunteers.
* Planning and implementing Volunteer Speakers Bureau.
* Representing My Sister’s House as needed regarding Helpline opportunities.
* Assisting in the preparation of grant project reports.
* Assisting with drafting grant related deliverables.
* Handling other duties as assigned.

* A strong commitment to helping women and children in need.
* Experience working with diverse constituencies (particularly with communities of color).
* Conflict resolution skills is highly desirable.
* Knowledge of crisis intervention and safety planning.
* Excellent organizational skills, including the ability to design and maintain effective systems, organize resources, and establish priorities.
* Self starter and ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously and efficiently with minimal supervision.
* Ability to work as part of a team.
* Knowledge of microsoft, excel and gmail programs, and operation of office equipment such as phones, photocopy and fax machines.
* Bilingual in Asian Pacific Island languages or Spanish is a plus.
* Flexible and willing to work during days, evenings, weekends, and on and off site.
* Valid driver’s license and ability to use personal vehicles for work; proof of car insurance.
