*FRONT OFFICE RECPTIONIST* Oak Point Chiropractic is looking to find a person who is energetic and willing to learn for an open chiropractic assistant position.
General math, computing, and customer service skills are a must.
This position is part time to begin, but will quickly turn full time employment for the right candidate with opportunity for advancement.
Our clinic has been servicing the health need of the Sacramento area for nearly 30 years and intends to continue for the next 30 years.
We look forward to you joining the team! Part time may turn into full time for the right candidate *Primary Responsibilities* * Welcomes patients and visitors by greeting them in person, via telephone and e-mail correspondence; answering or referring inquiries to the proper staff member.
* Optimizes patients' satisfaction, provider time, and treatment room utilization by scheduling appointments in person or by telephone; keeps patient appointments on schedule by notifying provider(s) and massage therapist(s) of patient arrival.
* Ensures availability of treatment information by maintaining, filing, and retrieving patient records.
* Maintains patient accounts by recording and updating personal and financial information.
* Completes telephone calls to patients to remind them of upcoming appointments, and makes follow up phone calls to reschedule missed or cancelled appointments.
* Prints fee slips (routing slips) for upcoming appointments and performs audit to ensure the appointment is scheduled correctly, prepares necessary paperwork for the appointment, and records co-pay and collection information.
* Collects co-pays and payments; posts daily account charges; balances end of day stats; prepares nightly deposit.
* Ensures reception area and treatment rooms are well maintained, neat, and clean; Keeps office supplies stocked and organized.
*Required Skills* * Mandatory 1 year experience administrative work in administration/healthcare setting * High School diploma/GED * Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks * Excellent communication and strong customer service skills * Self-starter who is able to follow guidelines and work independently with minimal supervision (after completed training) * Must be detailed oriented * Computer skills are a must If you are interested in this position and believe that you would be a good fit, please reply and include a copy of your resume and cover letter.
