I'm a busy, funny, independent woman with a physical disability who lives with my spouse, young adult stepson, and two sassy cats near Broadway and Riverside in Sacramento.
I work full-time in management for the State.
Work keeps me incredibly busy.
Outside of work, I enjoy time with my partner/friends/family, trying new restaurants, traveling, swimming, yoga, and cactus/succulent gardening.
This is a great part-time gig for anyone who’s looking to make some extra cash.
The shifts are short, but essential to my life and independence.
SHIFTS AVAILABLE:
Thursday/Friday 6:30 a.
m.
-8:30 a.
m.
(2 hours)
Saturdays/Sundays*
8:30 a.
m.
(2-4 hours depending on the week)
*Flexible Start Times
$22/hour
DUTIES:
• Personal Care - Assist wheelchair user with bathing, toileting, medications, dressing, grooming, etc.
• Household Tasks - Very basic cooking, dishes, light cleaning, laundry, organizing, filing, etc.
• Community Support - Drive to medical appointments, errands, etc.
Accompany me to the gym 1-2 times/week to assist with workout routine.
• Travel (optional) – May be some opportunity for travel, including daytrips and overnight trips, statewide a few times a year.
This is not a regular part of the job.
REQUIREMENTS:
• No experience is necessary.
I will train you and am very good at explaining my needs.
• EXTREMELY FLEXIBLE.
My life is busy.
I need someone who can work earlier or later than scheduled or quickly step in to fill other shifts if needed.
• VERY reliable, responsible, and dependable.
• Comfort with providing personal care for a woman.
• Comfort around cats and no cat allergies.
• Ability to easily lift up to 50 pounds.
I do most transfers myself but need small assists.
• Detail-oriented quick learner.
• Strong and reliable communication skills, including via phone or text.
• Fluent in English.
• Valid Driver's License with clean driving record.
• Good references
• Must live no more than 10 miles from downtown Sacramento
• Must be on time, clean, and a self-starter.
