The Los Rios Community College District is seeking a pool of qualified applicants for this temporary part-time (Adjunct) Faculty teaching assignment.
This position is filled on an as needed basis and is an on-going recruitment effort.
Applicants are contacted/hired year-round for assignments based on college needs.
This pool is open continuously and refreshed every two years.
Applicants in this pool will remain active for two years.
After two years applicants will receive an email with information on how to remain in the pool.
The adjunct faculty member shall be responsible for the following: teaching assigned classes under the supervision of the area dean.
Salary $41.
27 to $100.
50 per hour.
Rate determined by education requirement and type of assignment (lab/lecture/non lecture/substitute).
LRCCD Salary Schedules Additional Salary Information No additional salary information to note Benefits Assignment Responsibilities The adjunct faculty member assignment responsibilities include: helping students fulfill their maximum potential in mastering course content; assessing student learning outcomes; maintaining a thorough and up-to-date knowledge in his/her regular teaching field; continuing professional development; utilizing current technology in the performance of job duties; maintaining standards of professional conduct and ethics appropriate to the professional position; assisting with articulation and curriculum development and review; serving on college committees and participating in faculty governance including accreditation and student co-curricular activities; assuming other responsibilities as assigned by the area dean; fulfilling other duties and responsibilities of a part-time faculty member.
The instructional assignment may include, but is not limited to, teaching courses in all levels of Railroad Operations at the college including: History of Railroading Railroad Technical Careers Railroad Operations Railroad Safety, Quality, and Environment Railroad General Code of Operating Rules Position Salary Information: Initial maximum salary placement is based on academic degree, and upper/graduate level units earned per the Los Rios College Federation of Teachers Contract (the initial maximum placement is Class V, Step 1).

The assignment may include day, evening, online, hybrid, weekend, and/or off-campus classes/hours.
Total Hrs per Week/Day Special Requirements Currently hold or obtain a Directed Instructor Certificate from the Federal Rail Administration before beginning instruction.
Must be familiar with Federal Rail Administration regulations on air brakes/train make up/General Code of Operations.
Must be able to lift 75 lbs.
Experience working in a safety sensitive environment.
Ability to pass Federal background check.
Minimum Qualifications Any bachelor’s degree or higher and two years of professional experience, or any associate degree and six years of professional experience.
All degrees must be from an accredited insitution completed by the time of hire.
Certified in Federal Rail Administration General code of operations rules.

) or NACES (The National Association of Credential Evaluation Services) agencies or evaluators.
