Your Opportunity Stantec Buildings is introducing a new position – Health Sector Technology Practice Leader, which will be a client facing leadership role, reporting to the technology discipline leadership.
At its core, the role is intended to provide health facility technology visioning and consulting for our health sector clients, nationally and globally, as part of project pursuits, and project delivery.
As the health sector technology practice leader, you will provide solutions for our clients that enhance the patient experience, improve care delivery, reduce costs, and ultimately improve patient outcomes.
The successful candidate can be located in any of Stantec’s Buildings locations in the United States.
Primary Role, Goals and Objectives Support the Global Health Sector and Global Technology Discipline teams in developing: + A strategic plan for healthcare technology consulting delivery to our clients.
+ Responses to healthcare project pursuits.
+ Strategic visions and technology roadmaps for our Healthcare clients.
Stay abreast of latest healthcare technology trends and standards.
Provide leadership, advisement, advocacy, and guidance for Health Sector projects from initial visioning through facility design.
Your Responsibilities Project Involvement - approximately 50% of time.
+ Develop and lead health technology visioning process for health sector clients.
+ Collaborate with and support the design teams on health technology systems integration strategies, cost and ROI analysis for multiple systems.
These include, but are not limited to: + Electronic Medical Records (EMR) + Nurse Call Systems + Realtime Locating Systems (RTLS) + Patient Education/Entertainment + Healthcare Data Analytic Systems + Healthcare AI + Telemetry Systems + Data Network Systems + Building Automation/Control systems + Electronic Security Systems + Wireless Systems + Personal communication systems + Structured Cable Systems Lead the heath technology integration planning, vendor coordination and proof of concept effort for out health sector clients.
Attend and lead project design meetings as applicable.
Develop efficient and accurate solutions to design/integration problems.
Support project requirements including opinions-of-probable-costs estimates, drawing documentation and systems design.
Help set the vision and growth strategy for the Healthcare technology consulting services in North America and provide oversight and coordination with the health practice and specialty services globally.
Collaborate across the practice to enhance our commitment to an integrated practice model and the value of design excellence.
Drive a culture of innovation and incorporate industry trends including operational efficiencies, user satisfaction, sustainability, and high-performance building design.
Develop technical training to contribute to team development.
Apply basic technical skills and design documentation processes to produce accurate and timely deliverables.
Collaborate with project managers, consultants, and business line leaders as part of a coordinated design team.
Effectively delegates work to production support team as needed.
Business Development/Marketing approximately 30% of time As part of project pursuit teams, be the face of Stantec health technology, providing guidance and leadership for our clients.
Contribute to the development of strategic and tactical business development and marketing plans for Healthcare Technology consulting and align with firm-wide Buildings Sector and Stantec Technology goals and strategies.
Seek and capitalize internal and external opportunities for health technology consulting services expansion.
Enhance internal and external awareness of Stantec’s Health technology service offerings.
Represent the firm through published articles, public speaking engagements and attendance at industry and community events, meetings, and conferences.
Assist in the develop project proposals and review of contract language and alignment with project scope and fee negotiated.
Assist the marketing department with the development of health technology marketing materials and content.
Showcase Health Technology service expertise through internal and external thought leadership to enhance Stantec’s position as an industry leader.
Ensure our BD materials reflect our Healthcare technology service offering.
Learning/Maintaining and Expanding Technical Skills – approximately20% of time.
Join/maintain Industry organizations and vendor relationships related to healthcare technology and integration.
Develop and maintain knowledge of technologies, integration platforms and trends in the healthcare market.
Proactively pursues additional knowledge in related disciplines by attending available in house and external training.
Drive a culture of innovation and incorporate industry trends including sustainability, high performance building design and energy strategies.
Qualifications Your Capabilities and Credentials Deep knowledge of healthcare operations and industry trends and objectives Experience with network, wireless, access control, CCTV, CATV, nurse call, clinical technology, IoT, and audiovisual design considerations and their integration capabilities.
Ability to apply logic, reasoning, and organizational skills to structure concepts and ideas into deliverables.
Ability to demonstrate a credible and trustworthy presence through professionalism and demeanor.
Strong oral and written communication skills; ability to prepare and present accurate, professionally written reports and recommendations.
Familiarity with Building Information Modeling (BIM), AutoCAD MEP and Revit MEP.
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Experience and Education Bachelor’s degree in related field (Computer Science, Healthcare Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
) and 10 years of experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
CPHIMS Certification desired.
In addition, CPDHTS, HCISSP, and other technology certifications are advantages.
Office Location, Schedule and Travel This position allows for remote work flexibility, however in office attendance is highly encouraged as needed to support the position requirements.
Approximately 30% across North America, and potentially overseas is anticipated.

#DesignYourPlace Pay transparency laws require employers to provide the following information for positions that may be in the following jurisdiction(s): Salary Range(s): NYC $168,000/Outside NYC $133,300 - NYC $260,300/Outside NYC $206,600 Min/Max Pay Range(s) for postings located in NYC/NY $146,600 - $227,300 Min/Max Pay Range for postings located in CO and HI $157,300 - $243,800 Min/Max Pay Range for postings located in WA $146,600 - $227,300 Min/Max Pay Range for postings located in CA The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location.
At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible.
