Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Supervise unlicensed personnel.
Prioritize, allocate and monitor assigned duties of caregivers and medication technicians.
Assist Director of Resident Services evaluate staff performance and implement disciplinary procedures.
Mentor new hires during orientation process.
Must be neat in appearance, possess a pleasant personality and be congenial with fellow employees and public.
Must be capable of supervising staff, following oral and written instructions, and using own judgement and initiative in daily duties.
Supervise healthcare interventions required by the residents, including administration of the medication program.
Provides treatments (would care, injections, etc.
) as prescribed by resident’s physician.
Provides direct patient care according to the patients’ needs as directed by the patient care plan.
Participants in the admission and ongoing evaluations of patients.
Participates in the Care Plan Meeting process.
Reinforces instructions given to the patient by Physician or Registered Nurse.
Keeps Director of Resident Services and staff informed of any changes in residents’ status and maintains accurate reporting and documentation according to the policies set forth by the facility.
Maintain a clean working environment in the nursing department.
Coordinates nursing efforts to work with staff in the other departments.
Communicates with confidence, professionalism, and competence with residents, families, vendors, and all visitors to the community.
All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Must be Drug free and submit to Urinary Analysis Drug screening upon hire.
Must be able to pass Criminal Background Check, Health Screening including TB test.
Current license to practice professional nursing in the state of community operation.
Current CPR & First Aid certification and renewed as recommended.
Possess problem solving, leadership and supervisory abilities.
Possess good visual and accurate acuity to detect changes in residents’ condition.
Displays emotional stability and maturity.
Ability to communicate effectively with various groups and individuals.
Thorough knowledge of the theories and techniques of the nursing practice.
Assisted Living and Memory Care regulation knowledge.
Ability to prioritize, organize and delegate assignments.
A passion for helping seniors, especially those living with Dementia and Alzheimer’s Disease.
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, verbally and in writing in standard English.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret charting standards, physician orders, or administrative regulations.

Physical Demands and Requirements:
Maintain ability to lift 50 pounds; to stand or walk throughout the majority of the workday; and to frequently push, pull, bend, twist and reach.
Must be willing to be active and on feet during entire work shift.
Involves light to heavy physical activity performing non-strenuous and strenuous activities.
Must have sufficient manual dexterity to work with the fingers and to reach/hand items.
