Description
Cleans and services all SacRT GO coaches, other vehicles and related service areas.
Operates buses for servicing and maintenance purposes.
Practices safe work processes and performs related work as assigned.

Sweeps, mops, steams, scrapes, washes, and removes graffiti from the interior and exterior of buses.
Sweeps and mops garage floors, pits, parking lots, and service areas.
Lifts, moves and dumps trash containers.
Cleans Maintenance Offices, Storage Rooms and other areas as assigned.
Performs daily visual vehicle inspections, reporting all defects.
Makes non-mechanical road calls.
Checks and replaces consumables and equipment as necessary.
Replaces accessories such as light bulbs, mirrors, wiper blades and seat cushions.
Checks engine fluids, refilling as needed.
Operates CNG fueling equipment.
May be required to drive buses within Service Yard and between SacRT locations.
Operates a variety of equipment including forklifts, ground scrubber/sweeper, power washer, blower and upholstery cleaning equipment.
Installs and replaces vandal guards.
Places and replaces fliers and advertisements in buses.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
Experience: Six (6) months of full-time experience performing janitorial and/or industrial cleaning duties or a position responsible for the cleaning, maintenance and/or servicing of a variety of vehicles.
Required Licenses and/or Certificates: Possession of a Class B Driver's License permit with Passenger endorsement on the first day of appointment and the ability to obtain a Class B California Driver's License with Passenger endorsement within 90 days of appointment.
Satisfactory driving record as determined by the SacRT.
Forklift Operator certification or the ability to obtain a Forklift certificate with 90 days of appointment.
Note: Although there are certain recreational activities now legal in the state of California, if you’re not able to pass a pre-employment drug screening, you will not be considered for this position.
