Summary
Greet guests with in a prompt, courteous and professional manner and bids farewell upon departure.
Follows all Cache Creek Casino and Departmental policies and procedures.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
include the following.

Greets every guest in a prompt, friendly, courteous and professional manner
Offers a cordial farewell and thanks guests for dining upon departure
Communicates constantly with Servers, Assistant Servers and Management to ensure efficient operations
Seats guests in a timely and efficient manner
Creates accurate dinner reservations in the computer for guests either in person or over the phone
Uses guest surname in a natural and discreet manner
Seats all stations equitably assuring equal distribution of parties
Keeps work area clean and neat
Ensures floor is free of spills and debris at all times
Knowledgeable of all Cache Creek Casino Resort outlets, special events, concerts and promotions
Collects and inspects all menus, discarding all worn ones
Updates and replaces menu inserts into menu covers
Answers phone properly and promptly giving name of restaurant and identifying self
Maintains familiarity with menu items and daily specials
Ensures that tables are properly set
Knowledgeable of all comp and coupon policies
Assists with initial guest complaints and informs manager on duty, immediately
Retrieves menus from all areas of restaurant as needed
Circulates stations making sure guests are getting proper service and that all employees are in stations and being productive
May assist Servers and Assistant Servers with bussing tables, seating guests, side work, and duties assigned by management.

Qualifications

Experience and/or Education
Six months previous related experience in a fine dining or upscale restaurant or training; GED/High School Diploma; or equivalent combination of experience and education.
Basic computer knowledge.
Age Requirement
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Language Skills
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Ability to write simple correspondence.
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one situations with guests and other employees.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
