* 3- Complete the Phone Skills Assessment *Job Description: Medical Assistant* We are seeking a full-time Medical Assistant to join our Medical Aesthetics team focused on providing a holistic and personalized approach to patient care.
The ideal candidate will have excellent people skills, superior verbal and written communication, a willingness to adhere to established protocols, and the ability to interact with a high volume of patients on a daily basis in a polished, professional, and compassionate manner.
The position requires attention to detail and excellent critical thinking skills.
You must be motivated to be part of a team, and able to interact with co-workers in a consistently supportive, cooperative, and friendly way.
The position is a full-time position for 32 hours per week.
Assigned days will be relatively regular, with some variations to accommodate staff vacations, holidays, etc.
*Requirements:* * High School Diploma is required, a Bachelor’s or Associate's degree is preferred * Must be available 5 days per week as this is a full time position.
* Immunizations: Proof of Hep B Series and PPD test * Current BLS certification * 1+ year experience as a Medical Assistant in an office environment or Med Spa environment is preferred, but willing to train the right person * Must be comfortable using a computer/tablets, Google Drive, and learning new software as needed for logging patient information * Must be a self-starter with a strong desire to exceed expectations * Ability to work independently while demonstrating excellent organization and follow through * Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work * Ability to follow office protocols with detail * Social perceptiveness and service oriented * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Strong organizational and planning skills * Ability to establish trust quickly with patients * Ability to diffuse difficult situations with patients *Responsibilities:* * Check in patients by warmly greeting them, confirming their identity, and answer any questions about proper procedure preparation (washing face) * Open and close cash drawer * Build trust with potential clients and ensure client satisfaction by delivering superior customer service * Create/update Patient's Portals with intake forms, consents, and Pre & Post care * Prep rooms and be sure patients are prepped for their procedures before provider enters * Record patient medical history, before and after pictures, and update patient medical files * Apply skin care knowledge and office guidelines in gathering skincare histories and making patient recommendations * Present the patient to the provider and scribe concise, yet complete notes of the patients assessment, plan, and procedure during the appointment * Directly assist providers during more advanced procedures * Take vitals before certain treatments * Venipuncture if certified Phlebotomist * Create accurate invoices, register patients for vendor rewards programs, track treatments and redeem points * Check out patients, verify purchase/invoices for accurate information before taking payments * Apply knowledge of procedures and pricing in discussing treatment plans with patients, be able to educate patients on pre and post care for various procedures * Assist in Prescription submission * Assist in inventory management, restock shelves with products * Maintain clean sanitized rooms for patient care, perform cleaning duties in front and back of house * Stay up to date with knowledge on all the procedures and products we offer * Secondary phone & E-Mail customer service * Schedule follow ups and maintenance appointments on multiple systems, and reconcile any differences between those schedules * Present yourself in a manner consistent with our branding and mission with excellent self-care, natural appearance, minimal makeup, and appropriate attire.
