We are seeking a highly organized and friendly Patient Coordinator to join our dental practice on a part-time basis.
As a Dental Patient Coordinator, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient support, managing appointments, ensuring smooth patient flow, and assisting the dental team with administrative tasks.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a customer-oriented attitude, and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced dental office environment.
Responsibilities

Greet and welcome patients to the dental practice, ensuring a positive first impression and comfortable experience.
2.
Schedule appointments, both via phone and in person.
3.
Verify and update patient information, insurance details, and medical history accurately and promptly.
4.
Explain treatment plans, dental procedures, and financing options to patients, addressing any questions or concerns they may have.
5.
Follow up with patients regarding appointment reminders, confirmations, and rescheduling as necessary.
6.
Collect patient payments, process insurance claims, and maintain accurate financial records.
7.
Assist in managing dental supplies inventory, restocking as needed, and coordinating with suppliers.
8.
Maintain and organize patient records and charts, ensuring complete confidentiality and adherence to privacy regulations.
9.
Ensure a clean and efficient reception area, routinely organizing and straightening up waiting-room materials.
10.
Collaborate effectively with dentists, dental hygienists, and other team members to ensure seamless communication and patient care.
Qualifications
1.
High school diploma or equivalent; additional dental office training or certification is a plus.
2.
Proven experience as a receptionist, customer service representative, or in a similar role.
3.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to create a positive and welcoming atmosphere.
4.
Strong computer literacy, including proficiency in dental software and Microsoft Office applications.
5.
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills, enabling efficient appointment and record management.
6.
Ability to effectively communicate complex information in a clear and concise manner.
7.
Basic knowledge of dental procedures, treatments, and insurance procedures is beneficial.
8.
Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality.
9.
Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate patient appointments.
