(WSC) is an integrated engineering and communication consulting firm that delivers our clients' most challenging One Water solutions.
WSC is seeking an Associate Water Engineer to collaborate with designers, planners, project managers, strategic communications, and technical leaders in advancing vital water, wastewater, recycled water, and infrastructure investments.
Under the mentorship of our senior engineers, planners, and project managers, you will gain experience on a variety of challenging and exciting water and wastewater planning, design, leadership training, career path development, and optimization projects.
What You Will Do
You will and be a part of multi-disciplinary teams that plan, design, and optimize water infrastructure.
You will oversee water, wastewater and/or recycled water design and planning and projects, including development and oversight of scope, budget, and schedule.
You will serve in a Project Manager, Assistant Project Manager, and/or Project Engineer role based on your level of experience.
This position will be based out of our Folsom office with a flexible hybrid work option.
This position may require some travel throughout California.
What You Bring
Bachelor's degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering or related engineering field; Master's degree preferred.

Experience delivering successful and collaborative project performance that achieves clients' goals, including cost-effective, sustainable, energy-efficient, operator-friendly, and innovative valuable outcomes.
Demonstration of understanding and defining project goals and requirements.
Team first mindset.
You enjoy collaborating, learning from, and teaching others, and are active in creating a positive team dynamic.
Active participant in related professional associations, preferred, and knowledge of the latest industry trends.
Desire to operate with freedom and accountability.
A willingness to take risks and ownership of those risks.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, including experience writing proposals and presentations, technical memoranda, reports, drawings, specifications, and miscellaneous contract documents.
Project workshop leadership, facilitation of alternatives analysis evaluation and decision making.
Development of sustainable solutions and alternative project delivery methods a plus.
Ability to serve as a dedicated and effective client service partner and demonstrate responsiveness, clear communication, quality delivery, mindful listening, and problem-solving skills.
CAD/BIM/Revit 3D design experience is a plus.
Experience and interest in growing as a water/wastewater infrastructure design engineer is strongly desired.
3 years minimum experience required

Salary Range: The salary range for this position is $90,000 to $140,000 annually and may be more or less depending on experience.
