Senior Accountant

*No Recruiters or Recruiting Firms* Position Summary This is a hands-on, full-time position with day-to-day duties in the office (not remote) that include ensuring the accuracy of entries to ledger accounts and reconciling ledger accounts to the general ledger.
Maintains financial records and ensures that financial transactions are properly recorded.
Maintaining accurate records of both collections and receivables, ensuring that invoices are paid promptly and that clients pay by their payment terms.
The ideal candidate would be a self-starter with a high attention to detail.
They will possess the ability to be self-directed once trained in our programs with a proactive approach to problem-solving.

com to find out more about who we are and what we do! Essential Duties and Major Responsibilities Analyzes current costs, revenue, financial commitments, and obligations incurred to predict future revenues and expenses (forecasting).
Prepare complex balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial reports.
Supervise and guide others on the accounting team.
Prepare, process, and review invoices and supporting documents to ensure the accuracy of billing data, and correct billing requirements.
Responsible for invoicing, collection, and reporting.
Responsible for managing WIPs and project accounts.
Analyzes and manages the open debt of the organization and financial statements.
Post payments and Identify discrepancies in payments received, resolve issues, and communicate when collection efforts are unsuccessful.
Process and compare invoices to purchase orders to determine the amount owed.
Perform monthly reconciliations.
Compile monthly reporting for Project managers and senior leadership.
Responsible for payroll reconciliation and oversight Recommends improvements, adaptations, or revisions in the accounting system and procedures.
Assist with the budgeting process.
Establish, modify, document, and coordinate implementation of accounting and accounting control procedures.
Backup for payroll, performed once per quarter.
Assist with other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience 4 to 7 years of progressive experience in accounting including payroll, high volume invoicing, expense processing, and accounts payable with advanced monthly reconciliation.
Bachelor's degree in accounting required.
Sage Intacct experience is highly preferred.
Specialized Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Exceptional attention to detail.
Highly organized.
Proficient knowledge and skills with Sage Intacct, QuickBooks, ADP Workforce Now, and Excel.
Exceptional ability to solve problems using advanced research and analytical skills.
Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality, time management skills, strong math knowledge, knowledge of accounting principles, and 10-key skills.
Wage: $80,000 to $90,000 annually Benefits Medical-six plans to choose from including Kaiser (coverage begins the 1st of the month after completing 30 days of employment).
