Position Summary
This is a full-time position with day-to-day duties that include providing project oversight in an Occupational Health and Industrial Hygiene setting.
Candidates must possess their Certification in Industrial Hygiene (CIH) certification.
All applicants will be verified for active certification before progressing to the next step of the interview process.
You will be responding to client requests for proposals, developing new clients/opportunities, pursuing strategic initiatives, supervising and mentoring junior staff, and performing industrial hygiene work, including worker exposure assessments, health and safety audits, indoor air quality assessments, moisture intrusion and mold assessments, source and ambient air quality testing, and litigation support.

Essential Duties and Major Responsibilities
Consults with clients, preparing, soliciting, and marketing proposals for billable work.
Initiates and creates programs for clients to recognize, eliminate, and control occupational health hazards and diseases.
Conducts evaluations of chemical, physical and biological hazards.
Collects samples of dust, gases, vapors, and other potentially toxic materials for analysis.
Investigates adequacy of ventilation, exhaust equipment, lighting, and other conditions that may affect employee health, comfort, or efficiency.
Creates and presents reports regarding the work environment.
Recommends precautions and corrective actions that should be taken in response to identified hazards.
Prepares proposals.
Assists in the development of operating procedures and service lines.
Contributes to industry presentations and publications.
Provides the Accounting Department all necessary information to bill for projects.
Develops and mentors staff.
Is a recognized leader within the department, company, and profession.
Other duties as assigned.

Experience
10 or more years of professional Industrial Hygiene experience in consulting services or equivalent.
1 or more years of prior supervisory experience.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in core science (e.
g.
, chemistry, biology, etc.
) or equivalent
CIH is required.
Advanced degrees and/or certifications (CDPH, CAC, Lead Inspector/Risk Assessor)
Wage: Salary Range: $110,000 to $145,000
Travel: Up to 60% of travel
