POSITION DESCRIPTION The University of California (UC), Davis, School of Medicine seeks to hire one to two full-time Hematopathologists at the Assistant/Associate/Full Professor level in the Clinical (X) or the Health Sciences Clinical Professor Series in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine.
The salary range for this position is $210,000-$408,000.
This position is an academic physician- educator/investigator to grow clinical, teaching and creative programs in hematopathology.
Training and expertise in lymphoma diagnosis, molecular pathology, coagulation and pediatric pathology is highly desirable.
Clinical duties will primarily involve hematopathology and clinical hematology/coagulation services.
Service assignments in surgical pathology or other areas of the clinical laboratory may also be possible based on training and experience.
Teaching duties will include clinical, didactic, and small group teaching of housestaff and medical students, interdisciplinary conferences to housestaff and faculty, and curriculum development in subspecialty areas.
Participation in the research mission of the institution is expected, either as a collaborator or as the intellectual leader of clinically-oriented research projects pertinent to the candidate’s areas of expertise and subspecialty training, depending on academic series chosen for appointment.

QUALIFICATIONS Basic qualifications (required at time of application) Must have an MD or DO Must be board certified in anatomic and/or clinical pathology Must be board certified or board-eligible in hematopathology A California professional license or eligibility for licensure in California is required.

The ability to maintain a high level of service, work cooperatively and collegially within a diverse environment, exhibit excellent interpersonal skills to build and maintain excellent relationships with medical and technical staff, trainees, and others are required.
