(HELIX), a growing, employee-owned environmental consulting and planning firm, is seeking a mid-level Landscape Architect / Project Manager to join the team in one of our northern California office locations (Folsom or Roseville).
HELIX provides landscape architecture, environmental planning, biological resources, regulatory compliance, habitat restoration, cultural resources, acoustical, air quality, and GIS services to both the public and private sector clients.
Our landscape architecture group works on a range of environmentally focused design and planning projects including parks and recreation, housing, streetscapes, infrastructure, civil and institutional work.

We are looking for a creative, organized, and motivated Landscape Architect / Project Manager to work as part of our team on our full suite of planning and design services including conceptual plans, visual simulations, construction documents, construction administration, master plans, and management plans for a wide range and scale of projects.
The position will involve project management, staff management, conceptual design, construction documents, site evaluation, construction observation, research, report writing, and public outreach events.
Additionally, the position will include preparation of scopes, proposals, and other marketing materials.

This individual must have the ability to coordinate effectively with other project managers, and to prioritize and complete high-quality work within specified deadlines.

A test of practical skills may be required of final candidates.

Expected starting pay range of $75,000 to $95,000.

Requirements:
Minimum Requirements for Landscape Architect/Project Manager:
Bachelor’s degree in landscape architecture
Minimum of six (6) years of experience in landscape architecture
California licensure or the successful completion of one or more LARE Sections
At least two (2) years of project management experience as the person responsible for project or task budget, schedule, deliverables, client contact and staff management
Competence in the preparation of all aspects of construction documents, including layout, grading, irrigation, planting, details, specifications, and cost estimates
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in AutoCAD, LandFX, Photoshop, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Competency in irrigation design including layout, water-use calculations, scheduling, and an understanding of MWELO requirements
Knowledge of California native plants
Additional qualifications considered a plus
Experience with ArcGIS, Adobe Creative Suite, Sketchup, or Rhino
Experience or coursework in ecology, biology, land use planning, environmental engineering, and related topics
ReScape (Bay Friendly or River Friendly) qualification or similar
SITES and/or LEED AP certification
California irrigation auditor certification (CLIA)
ISA Certified Arborist or ASCA Registered Consulting Arborist
