Job Description and Duties
Provider Enrollment is responsible for the Screening, Enrollment, Monitoring, and Recertification of almost 300,000 Medi-Cal providers.
The providers that we enroll and monitor provide services to over 15 million Medi-Cal members.
Under the general direction and supervision of the Staff Service Manager II, the Staff Services Manager (SSM) I plans, directs, and organizes the day-to-day operations of the Application Processing Unit.
The unit provides program support related to the processing and reviewing of provider applications for participation in the Medi-Cal program.
The SSM I has direct supervision over a team of professional staff and may represent the Section at internal and external meetings.
The incumbent must be able to effectively supervise and develop a team of analytical staff, manage multiple priorities, and must possess strong analytical, leadership, interpersonal and written/oral communication skills.

Working Conditions The DHCS standard for hybrid work is a minimum of two days per week in-person and site-based and up to three teleworking days per week.
