CAD Equitek II - $250 (Newcastle)

This is a mic from the late '80s I believe.
I used it in my recording studio - no touring - no smoking - no dropping - very seldom used!!! And still in excellent condition.
I used it most for recording vocals, but it's pretty great for instruments, including guitars, violins, pianos, anything else.
This microphone actually uses TWO diaphragms in the one microphone.
That means you can record from one side, like most mics.
Or if you are recording a duet, you can flip a switch on the mic, and the singers can stand opposite each other with the mic in the middle and it will record BOTH voices! (It's called a figure-8.
) Or, you can flip the switch to the third spot, and the mic will record in OMNI mode and it will pick up everything in the room! The mic uses a 9V rechargeable battery (charges itself when you turn on phantom power) WONDERFUL SOUND! I recorded jingles for about five years and we used this mic for all the voiceovers which played on local TV channels here in Sac.
