If you don't know about these drums, you should! In the early days of PDP (2000s), DW made the maple shells and trucked them over the border to Ensenada Mexico to their PDP facilities.
The difference was that DW installed reinforcement rings on the shells that were branded "DW.
" So you are basically getting pro quality DW maple drums without reinforcement rings for a fraction of the price.
These are some of the best sounding drums I've ever owned.
And I've owned a lot!
PDP CX drums are covered (or "wrapped"), and these are finished in White Onyx.
The wraps do have some normal "yellowing" from age.
Batter heads have all been upgraded.
