I think that it is worth trying to build a trio with 3 musicians to make music together.
A trio of musicians that can become a good project.
I envision something kinda like The Jimmy Giuffre 3, but not tied down to that specific idiom.
I hope we can play--for instance--jazz, popular, and classical ideas and use them as a jumping off point for originals, in a combination of composition and improvisation.
The instrumentation as I imagine would include some kind of trio consisting of 3 musicians who play some of the following instruments: horns, strings, wind, guitar, bass, and/or vocals.
I think that 3 is a right number and it would be great to find complementary timbres.
We could start by reading jazz and pop realbook tunes, or classical structures to build with, and move on to express our own musical selves.
