Job Description
Industrial Engineers plan plant, production facilities and equipment layouts, determines the most efficient sequence of operations and workflow, and establishes methods for maximum utilization of production facilities and personnel.
Develops metrics to measure equipment and factory capacity and output, and to identify equipment and process flow bottlenecks.
May establish or assist in establishing accident prevention measures and may plan and schedule training programs for personnel concerning all phases of production operations.
Conducts studies pertaining to cost control, cost reduction, inventory control, and production record systems.
On the basis of these studies, develops and implements plans and programs for facility modifications and revisions to operating methods.
Responds to customer/client requests or events as they occur.
Develops solutions to problems utilizing formal education and judgement.

Qualifications
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this internship position.
Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications:
Position requires BS or MS degree in Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or similar technical engineering discipline.
Preferred Qualifications: Understanding of or completed course work in:
• High standard of quality and attention to detail.
• Desire to constantly learn and improve the current state.
• Knowledge of Factory Planning (Capacity/Capital/Layout fundamentals).
• Knowledge of Lean principles.
• Excel, VBA, PowerBI or any equivalent data mining capabilities or familiarity with 2D/3D CAD software are preferable.

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in US, California: $69,840.
00-$104,400.

Working Model
This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
