, a not for profit is looking for volunteer chaperones (Tour Guides), to support and assist adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) on quality group tours to exciting destinations.
Our excursions involve overnight stays in hotels ranging from 3 to 6 days.
We are accepting applications for volunteers for many trips throughout 2024.
Some of the exciting destinations we need chaperones for are: Disneyland, Sea World, Dude Ranches, Las Vegas, Hawaii, Knott’s Berry Farm, Nashville, and many, many more! Please check out our website at https://www.

Experience with persons with IDD preferred but not necessary.
New Directions is based in Santa Barbara, but we need volunteer chaperones from all over California and neighboring states.
Requirements include having a respect for people with disabilities, a love for travel, professional appearance and pleasant disposition, good communication skills, accurate attention to detail, able to drive, good health with ability to lift 50 pounds, strong stamina, and a top-notch attitude.
Further requirements will include: CPR/First aid certification, and criminal (police fingerprint) clearance, reference and background checks.
This is a volunteer position.
All tour and travel expenses are paid for volunteers.
