Hi.
My husband turns 50 in 3 years and he is (quite literally) the best guy on planet earth.
He's the world's biggest optimist and is blessed with the gift of never being afraid to try new things.
While these are both amazing qualities, it also means that he can basically do anything he wants, anytime.
(His most recent project was building us a new house with his own two hands.

) This makes gift giving difficult :)
He is an engineer by trade, and has always had a deep fascination with trains.
His self-proclaimed favorite train is the one that leaves Rocklin, CA and goes over the hills into Tahoe.
One more detail: He and I have the same birthday, which has always been so fun for us.
And 4 years ago, we lost my mother on our birthday as well.
Needless to say - the day sort of rules our world and we see the numbers of our birthday pop up all over the place.
So.

given that he can basically do anything he wants on his own and that our birthday is so special to us, I want to go big for his 50th and am hoping that I can find some magical way to get him ON THE TRAIN that goes from Rocklin to Tahoe.
I truly have no idea what it would take, but I'm starting 3 years ahead of time because I really, really, really want to make this happen.
