Authentic 24K Gold from S.S. Central America Ship Wreck (Sacramento)

This is gold recovered from the 280 foot SS Central America ship wreck that sunk in a hurricane September 12, 1857 killing 425 people off the east coast.
The 24K gold was panned from the sierra mountains around Sacramento, and was being transported to the East coast when the ship sank in an hurricane, then it was recovered by Bob Evans.
They sold the placer gold flakes from the sierras in a single pinch quantity and this one is the double pinch size.
